Mini Book Review: A Darker Shade of Magic (Shades of Magic #1)

This is the first book I’ve ever listened to, aka audible was used because I listened to this on the way to school, and I actually really liked it. I didn’t think I’d like to be read to, mainly because if the words aren’t in front of me, I have zero attention span for books. It’s probably super weird, and I’m probably alone in that, but its just how I am during reading. Anyways, that’s really not the most important part of this whole thing. The most important thing is the fact that this book was amazing. Like, in a ‘I-can’t-put-this-down-someone-send-help-but-not-really-because-i-like-it’ […]

Book Review: Eliza and Her Monsters

I stumbled across this book when I was binge watching booktube videos, and immediately I know that I was going to have to pick this book up. I won’t lie, I didn’t think I was going to be picking up this book any time soon after buying it though, only because Tower of Dawn had just come out. But I reread the summary again, and I just had to read it now. And y’all… Y’all.. I loved it. It was so cute. As cute as the couple was, because oh my god, two shy people having a relationship is definitely the cutest thing ever, […]

Book Review: Into the Dim (Into the Dim #1)

My name is Olivia, and I have an addiction to Scotland. It’s probably because my family is from there, and if I wasn’t still weary of creepers on the Internet (I grew up in the early stages of the Internet where talking to anyone on it meant certain death), I would share my real last name (spoiler alert: it isn’t Barnes and I’m not married to Bucky) because it turns out its actually a clan from Scotland. I had to do a research project on where my last name came from, and found out so much on it, and it’s […]

Mini Book Review: Red Queen (Red Queen #1)

Since this book has probably been reviewed about a million times, I’m really not going to go into a full blown review of the book. I think I’m going to start doing more of these mini reviews for books that don’t really need a full review. So what these mini reviews are going to consist of are going to be the ones that I’m more than three years late on reviewing pretty much. It’s gonna be ridiculous, but for whatever reason, if I read a book, I feel a need to review it, so it’s happening. Right now. Lets do this. I think […]

Book Review: I Believe in a Thing Called Love

I can say, without a doubt, that this is my favorite contemporary book I’ve read so far this year. I have a hard time believing that I’m going to read one that will even come close to topping it, but I suppose there is always the chance that it might happen.. But, seriously, with how good this book is, I highly doubt it. First of all, and I swear that I’m going to preach this until the day I stop reading YA (aka damn near never), but we don’t get enough good parents in young adult books. Its a fact, […]
