First of all, thank you to the publisher for sending me an advanced copy for review! And although I’m super excited to read it before it comes out, that in no way affects my review to come!
This book was exactly what I wanted it to be. Very rarely do second books in series (is this going to be a trilogy or a series…. *fingers crossed it turns out to be a series*) turn out to be as good as the first book, but this one has definitely done that for me. I mean, you guys. There was the slow burn moments that made my heart flutter, and the intense scenes that made me nervous, and I honestly couldn’t figure out what was going on, but in the best way possible.
Now, addressing the last part, lemme clarify. I think that its the best kind of mystery when you sit down, really try to figure out what the hell is going on, and you still can’t. I mean, isn’t that exactly what you want? Because it’s exactly what I’m wanting in a mystery novel.
I think this is series is the Sherlock of YA, and I’m 200000% here for it.
Since this isn’t actually out yet, I’ve decided I’m going to force myself to keep quiet on any kind of spoilers, or anything that may tip anyone off on anything. So instead, the day the books comes out, I’m going to publish a post where we can discuss all kinds of spoilery goodness about this book!
Again, thank you so much to the publisher for letting me read this one early. And to Kerri, please tell me the next one is already written so my grabby hands can get on it… Please?
I hope everyone has a fantabulous day/evening/morning/whenever you’re reading this and happy reading!
