Drew Fisher is the type of guy every girl wants.
Noble police officer by day, charming prince by night.
He has no idea the effect he has on women, especially me—his little sister’s best friend.

I’m the blonde Southern belle who lives up to the cliché, except I have my own quirks. I’m smart as a whip, can change my own oil, and recite The Pledge of Allegiance backward, but he doesn’t see that girl.

It’d be easier to forget him if he wasn’t my roommate and if the first thing I saw in the morning wasn't his shirtless body covered in tattoos. I’ve crushed on him since the day we met, but he’s made it perfectly clear where we stand. Just friends.

I know I need to move on and accept that his feelings will never be mutual, but every day he smiles at me, I’m left dreaming of what if.

He has girl issues, and I’ve got a crush I can’t deny.
We’re friends, but I want more.

One drunken hookup leaves us with much more than a platonic friendship. Pretending it never happened proves to be more difficult than anticipated.

A crazy ex-girlfriend, a dangerous war of stolen glances, and passionate kisses leads to the most reckless battle yet. I won’t be a pawn in his game, but I’ll play by his rules if it will show him I’m the one worth breaking them for.

Checkmate, Prince Charming.

“You owe me big time,” she reminds me with a small laugh. Minutes later, I hear her breathing become more stable, and I know she’s fallen back asleep.

“You’ve already got my heart,” I whisper.

Alrighty, here it is. This is my favorite one of this series I’ve read so far. Granted, the second book for this couple isn’t out yet, but still. I loved this so much. This book literally put me in my feels and that hasn’t happened in such a long time for me and its never been because of a NA novel. Like I said in my last review, this whole NA experiment is going on really well.

I couldn’t get enough of this whole friends turning into more trope, plus the whole one loving the other, but the other one has no idea trope? I was a total goner; I didn’t stand a chance. I genuinely can’t tell you why I love those two so much, but I’ve noticed I actually find myself loving those in fantasy books too. Although, I don’t wanna say it too soon and jinx it, but after reading this book, I think NA Romance is starting to catch up to how much I love them.

Anywhooooters. The only issue I had with this book, which is pretty small and not a big deal at all, was the whole Texas thing going on. I was born and raised in Texas, and lemme tell ya, we don’t have hoe downs. I mean, maybe this was supposed to be in a super small town, but I didn’t really get that vibe when I first read it.

But my favorite part was Drew. He’s definitely portrayed as such a bad ass, but he’s totally a giant teddy bear at the same time, and its everything I need in a NA book. Plus, his chemistry with Courtney was just perfect.

I won’t spoil anything, I promise, but if you’ve read this one…. What the hell was that ending?!

I hope everyone has a fantabulous day/evening/morning/whenever you’re reading this and happy reading!
