She's about to make a deal with the college bad boy...

Hannah Wells has finally found someone who turns her on. But while she might be confident in every other area of her life, she's carting around a full set of baggage when it comes to sex and seduction. If she wants to get her crush's attention, she'll have to step out of her comfort zone and make him take notice...even if it means tutoring the annoying, childish, cocky captain of the hockey team in exchange for a pretend date.

...and it's going to be oh so good

All Garrett Graham has ever wanted is to play professional hockey after graduation, but his plummeting GPA is threatening everything he's worked so hard for. If helping a sarcastic brunette make another guy jealous will help him secure his position on the team, he's all for it. But when one unexpected kiss leads to the wildest sex of both their lives, it doesn't take long for Garrett to realize that pretend isn't going to cut it. Now he just has to convince Hannah that the man she wants looks a lot like him.

My Review

I have to say, my New Adult experiment is definitely going really well for me so far, especially after finishing the first book in the Off Campus series!

First of all, y’all know we have to start with finding some gifs of how I picture the characters, as I always do. Especially since this involves super hot hockey players. Why would I pass up a chance at that?

Here is the beautiful Garrett Graham in my head:

I have zero idea who this guy is, but I saw him on this review of the book, and he was automatically who I started to picture while reading it myself! He’s kind of perfect for him, and the tattoos just add to the perfection, honestly.

Now, as for who I picture as Hannah, I’m really not sure. I always have such a hard time pin pointing exactly who I picture, but the closest I can get is probably Sarah Hyland!

I think this book was the perfect combination of exactly what a NA novel should be. There was the hilarious dialogue, which actually had me laughing out loud sometimes, even when I was sneaking in a chapter or two during my lecture classes.. Yes, it was quite embarrassing. There was the sexy scenes, which were written super well and weren’t awkward to read at all. And lets be real, we’ve all come into contact with books that write sex scenes so poorly that it makes it awkward. And, the romance was slow build and adorable.

I loved the writing itself so much, simply because it was so easy to read. I think this took me barely 24 hours to finish, and I simply couldn’t put it down. I’m already onto the next one, which is about one of Garrett’s roommates.

Oh! That’s another thing I love about this series. The fact that it’s not all about the same couple because that honestly gets annoying and boring, but each book is about a different couple, and they all intertwine. I’ve noticed NA books that do that seem to be the best ones, and it’s nice to see side characters move to be the center character and learn more about them!

I hope everyone has a fantabulous day/evening/morning/whenever you’re reading this and happy reading!

  • I love the Off-Campus series. Dean and Garrett’s books were definitely my favorite. Great review, Olivia! 🙂

    • Those were my two favorites as well! I love the whole series in general honestly. And thank you!
