Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by the girls over at The Brooke & The Bookish. This week’s topic is Ten Books I Picked Up On A Whim. I’m not very good at this because I usually plan out the books I read, like weeks in advance. For the most part, for the first half of the year, I’ve been reading the new releases of 2016. I haven’t really picked up an older book in such a long time it feels like. But I’ll attempt to get at least five in.
The Lovely Reckless and Passenger were both ARCs I received from Netgalley and I picked both of them up well before their publishing date just because I kind of felt like it. I don’t know if that means on a whim, or if that counts, buuuut I’m counting it. And for The Unexpected Everything, I was about to put the book down because I just wasn’t feeling it, but on a whim (see what I did there?) I decided to try one more chapter and now I’m hooked.
I picked up, and finished First & Then in one day and I was totally, utterly in love with it. I’d never even heard of it before, I just saw how pretty the cover was and I figured why not?
So I guess I did have more books I chose on a whim, than I thought I did, but after these ten I really can’t think of any. Well, I can’t think of any that I’ve actually read through. Some of them, I’ve picked up on a whim at the store to buy, but I haven’t actually read them yet. It’s all these new releases, they’re distracting me!
I hope everyone has a fantabulous day/evening/morning/whenever you’re reading this and happy reading!
