harry potter and the cursed child

I’m kinda freaking out.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock in the book blogging world, you probably know all about this. I found out about this at dinner, and I immediately started freaking out. I got a few weird looks from my family, but that’s fine. It’s Harry freaking Potter.

In case you haven’t found out about this yet, once you stop having the same heart attack I had, here’s the synopsis:

Based on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, a new play by Jack Thorne, is the first official Harry Potter story to be presented on stage. It will receive its world premiere in London’s West End on 30th July 2016

It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband, and father of three school-age children.

While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes darkness comes from unexpected places.

I literally can’t wait. I’m starting a countdown for this thing.

I hope everyone has a fantabulous day/evening/morning/whenever you’re reading this and happy reading!
