Book: P.S. I Still Love You (To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before #2)
Author: Jenny Han
Published: May 26, 2015
Genres: Young Adult, Contemporary, Romance
Summary: Lara Jean didn’t expect to really fall for Peter.
She and Peter were just pretending. Except suddenly they weren’t. Now Lara Jean is more confused than ever.
When another boy from her past returns to her life, Lara Jean’s feelings for him return too. Can a girl be in love with two boys at once?
In this charming and heartfelt sequel to the New York Times bestseller To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, we see first love through the eyes of the unforgettable Lara Jean. Love is never easy, but maybe that’s part of what makes it so amazing.
My Review: I usually never obsess over contemporaries as much as I have over To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, and now the sequel, P.S. I Still Love You. I’m much more into fantasy, simply because it’s like falling into a whole new world. But for some reason, these books have completely changed that for me.
This book is like a warm chocolate chip cookie. It makes you happy and gives you warm, fuzzy feelings the entire time you’re eating it up! Plus, there’s a ton of baking in this book. Which means I get to sneak in some food porn gifs here.
I think the thing I love the most about this contemporary read is the fact that Lara Jean isn’t annoying as hell. Something I’ve noticed with contemporaries is that they tend to have goodie goodie, can do no wrong main characters. With Lara Jean, when she messes up she understands that she has and she deals with it. And simply the fact that it’s shown that she can mess up just proves it’s not like the others.
Plus, the girl is hilarious. The entire time, I’m just laughing my ass off at her inner dialogue, especially when Kitty is involved.
Since I’m trying to keep all of my reviews spoiler free, and this is a sequel, I’m not going to be able to say too much more about this without spoiling something for someone. So if you’ve read this, comment down below and we can fangirl about it! I need to talk about my Peter feels, okay? Okay.
PS: Here’s the playlist I’ve fallen in love with while reading this!
I hope everyone has a fantabulous day/evening/morning/whenever you’re reading and happy reading!
