Summary: To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before is the story of Lara Jean, who has never openly admitted her crushes, but instead wrote each boy a letter about how she felt, sealed it, and hid it in a box under her bed.
But one day Lara Jean discovers that somehow her secret box of letters has been mailed, causing all her crushes from her past to confront her about the letters: her first kiss, the boy from summer camp, even her sister’s ex-boyfriend, Josh.
As she learns to deal with her past loves face to face, Lara Jean discovers that something good may come out of these letters after all.
My Review: This has to be one of the cutest books I’ve read this summer. Scratch that, this year. I’ve never been big on contemporary reads, that’s pretty obvious if you take one look at my favorites shelf on goodreads. I’m much more of a fantasy person because I’ve always found I can get lost in that world much faster than I can in a contemporary read. But with this book, I definitely found myself lost within the story.
I couldn’t put this thing down.
Can we talk about Peter? I think we should. This is my Peter. Yes, I know he’s supposed to have dark hair, but he doesn’t in my book, okay? Okay.
Aside from this hottie, I honestly loved everything about this book. One of the things I probably loved the most was the fact that this book didn’t only focus on boys, boys, and more boys. I mean, you can tell by the title that this is obviously going to have a lot to do with guys, but it also dealt a lot with growing up in general and family.
I really loved the whole sisters before misters theme it had going, I thought that was just adorable in itself. And Kitty was just the best. This was definitely my Kitty:
All kinds of sass and adorableness.
I hope everyone has a fantabulous day/evening/morning/whenever you’re reading and happy reading!
