Book: Cress (The Lunar Chronicles #3)
Author: Marissa Meyer
Published: February 4, 2014
Genres: Young Adult, Fantasy, Science Fiction
Summary: In this third book in the Lunar Chronicles, Cinder and Captain Thorne are fugitives on the run, now with Scarlet and Wolf in tow. Together, they’re plotting to overthrow Queen Levana and her army.
Their best hope lies with Cress, a girl imprisoned on a satellite since childhood who’s only ever had her netscreens as company. All that screen time has made Cress an excellent hacker. Unfortunately, she’s just received orders from Levana to track down Cinder and her handsome accomplice.
When a daring rescue of Cress goes awry, the group is separated. Cress finally has her freedom, but it comes at a high price. Meanwhile, Queen Levana will let nothing prevent her marriage to Emperor Kai. Cress, Scarlet, and Cinder may not have signed up to save the world, but they may be the only hope the world has.
My Review: All I can say is that Marissa Meyer has done it yet again.
I can’t even decide which book of the three I like best. I think it would have to be this one. Or maybe Cinder. Or maybe Scarlet.. I just can’t pick one! I particularly liked this one because we get more Captain Thorne, and y’know, Cress.
This isn’t really a spoiler, it’s pretty obvious from the get go, but Thorne and Cress are so freaking cute together. I can’t even deal with how cute they are. Her awkwardness plus his cockiness, but also his secret awkwardness, is just so. freaking. cute. I’m fangirling so hard right now. Between them, Scarlet and Wolf, and Cinder and Kai, I just can’t.
The couples in this series are just so cute.
I don’t even need to go over the whole writing and setting likes and dislikes because I love Marissa Meyer’s writing to death. And the setting of every book is perfect.
But can we all agree on the fact that Queen Levana needs to go down? I hate that bitch..
Literally every single time I read her name:
But really, you guys. It’s such a good book. I’ve said it every time, and I’ll say it again. Everyone needs to pick this series up and binge read them. Trust me, it’s worth it.
I hope everyone has a fantabulous day/evening/morning/whenever you’re reading this and happy reading!
