Summary: Welcome to New York City’s Upper East Side, where my friends and I live, go to school, play, and sleep—sometimes with each other.
S is back from boarding school, and if we aren’t careful, she’s going to win over our teachers, wear that dress we couldn’t fit into, steal our boyfriends’ hearts, and basically ruin our lives in a major way. I’ll be watching closely . . .
You know you love me,
My Review: My only thought after reading this is, why did I do this to myself? I’ve never given a book one star, but I have to with this book. I don’t know what I was expecting. I didn’t like the show all that much, but enough to watch a season or two. I liked the idea, it was a pretty good plot, but I guess it just didn’t do it for me. But when I read this book, it made the show look like it deserved an oscar.
This book was short, thank god, so it didn’t make me want to throw it across the room for too long. But the characters were like children with money and drugs, honestly. I don’t even know how old they were, I probably just skipped over it, but they acted like 14/15 year-olds. Hell, maybe they were. In the show they look like the youngest would be nearly 18, not 15. I don’t know. This book just drove me insane. There was a ton of drama, I’ll give it that, but it was really shitty drama. Honestly. When I say I wanted to kill myself while reading this book, I’m completely, 100% serious.
There’s not much else to say about this book. The only redeeming quality, which really doesn’t count as redeeming at all, was that it had a good plot. At least kinda..
I hope everyone has a fantabulous day/evening/morning/whenever you’re reading this and happy reading!
